The ‘Fired Earth’ vest draws from the process of sourcing, manipulating and firing clay, inspired by Tāmaki Makaurau based ceramic artist Olivia Asher (Ngāti Tūwharetoa).
Small amounts of second hand and scrap yarns are blended to create a rich and powerful garment that oozes tactile materiality.
The front features an applied abstract motif of finger knitted cord, referencing clay coils that have been extruded. This garment is part of the Goldi SS24/25 collection Hyasynth.
