This piece is inspired by draping straight onto fabric. Kimonos are made from a variety of panels, these then turned into letting the panels create the shapes of the dress that eventually evolve into a wearable piece. Using a contrast red stitching throughout the garment to put the pieces together you can see inside of the garment where each stitch holds the panels of the Kimono. As the outside of the garment you will see the connections between each panel highlighted by the red stitching. Some edges are frayed and finished off with a stay stitch. This showcases the deconstruction and reconstruction of one garment to another.
