This piece was inspired by combining a variety of fabrics that compliments each other while experimenting with tailoring and deconstruction.
The repurposed silk Kimono lining was patterned to be longer than the shell of the coat to show my interest in deconstruction of garments to showcase the beauty and the nature of this antique fabric. It is designed to fray and to show wear over time. The four distinct buttons is a symbol of there the Conclusion of the 4th Chapter and how it symbolizes the different journeys that these projects took me.
